Double adult sidecar for Norton 600 Motorcycle designed and built by Gordon Sutcliffe. Gordon modeled this on his friend's sidecar making a pattern in hardboard. He steamed the wood components to achieve the curved shape. The sidecar chassis was the "Canterbury" model. It was made in the 1950's when Gordon lived at High St. The Norton 600 was bought in part exchange for the International Norton Motorbike which Gordon previously owned.
Gordon’s Interests Gordon was a keen motorcyclist and owned a number of motorcycles from classic British manufacturers for example Matchless and Norton. He enjoyed maintaining these bikes and racing with them
Gordon was enthusiastic about all types of machines and spent many happy hours at his smallholding with his vast collection of machines, vehicles and spare parts.
