Description

This image shows Dorothy Sutcliffe, Gordon's Wife, standing in front of some tractors while walking round the field where articles for sale were being set up ready for the auction of Gordon's farming goods a few days later. She is being recorded by Nick Wilding talking about some of the items, to be put on record for SHED, the local history group in Blackshawhead.

The image shows views over to Colden Valley in the background.

The tractor in the front of the image is a Ferguson, as is the one to the right at the back. The one behind Nick Wilding is "Old Rastus", a Fordson.
Auction. Following Gordon's death a public auction of his large collection including engineering, motor and farming artefacts was held on his small holding at Blackshaw Head overlooking Colden. It was held on 8th September 2007 and the auctioneers were Silverwoods of Clitheroe. People came from far and wide and many local people attended.
